I'm Here For You

Why can't you see

I'm here for you

Behind your mask

I care for you

It's not as though

Dreams don't come true

But you need help,

You know you do

So come to me

And stop that blue

Take off that mask

Real you shines through

You lead the way

I'll follow too

To guard you from

What humans do

But till you see

I'm here for you

I guess there's nothing

You can do.

Poem 9

Trampled

So many other girls

Loved you before

So you thought she'd be the same.

When you told her what she meant to you

And she locked herself outside

Nothing was worth anything

Anymore.

And she hid from you

And deleted you from life

And she knows what she did

But can't regret it

Then nothing more of you was hid --

Your soul is out there

Trampled on the ground.

But you have to learn to forget

Even when you cannot forgive

You've got to empty your heart and start over

Because now, if you don't want to live

You're going to miss your chance,

And never live again

To do life's crazy dance.

In a sentence with no words.

you never know

i might be wrong

i told you the sun

turns cold in the winter

i told you the stars

are hidden by clouds

i told you the trees

can’t dance in the wind

and i said

i didn’t care

and that they wouldn’t

be what i want

anyway

but

you never know

i might be wrong

Poem 6

Two-Second Poem (Dashed off the top of my head)

Here and now

as we say goodbye,

to a fresh new start

and then we see

the quickness tide

that falls apart:

hiding you from me

and we still think so

as we watch it pass

and we have to know

(you gotta guess

your way

it's not the same

as mine

to you or me

we have to do the right)

and then we see

the gleam of candlelight

upon flickering eyes

(and the faces

raised to the dark sky

are calling).

So you see it now

as we watch we rain

and gleam:

that you have to go

going to be late

in the whole grand scheme

just help me plan,

help me waste away

I have to stay right here

you're there

but now I know you can't stay

and then we feel it

like a whirl of tide

(as the pulls out,

pulls in)

and you saw it and you said it

that really now you wish --

you could

and then you're gone

(like those faces

raised

to the dark sky

of the rain).

The Limit's The Sky

Did he mean it before

You think he did

He really meant it

But were his feelings hid

From before he slammed the door

Another girl had to come into his life

However much you wanted it to

Just stay that way

But you know that even while that grew

He was starting to sharpen the knife

And even while you start to cry

And even though you know you'll die

The flame of life won't pass you by

You can't forget unless you try

And so keep strong, my wonderful friend

I'll be beside you through the bend

So that when you realize the limit's the sky

This'll finish with a lovely end.

Poem 3 & Poem 4

The Old Cat

The old cat poses, thin and sleek

He wipes his whiskers, ears and cheek

I wonder how he knows from birth

How to be so quick and chic.

His head inclined toward the earth

(He looks more than he's really worth)

He sits so straight, so very long

It seems as if it is his berth.

He listens to a silent song

As busy people walk along

It seems that's his place to belong.

And nothing can ever again go wrong.

And now, since that was more of a silly poem, you get another poem on the same day!! Aren't you lucky?

No Silence

Never silence

(an unwanted cough)

not like it says

in books

air not thick, but

just not there

a little cold

who else is here?

no one(or else

no silence)

yet too much space

for those things

(the ones you

really don't want to think of)

and time

loses meaning

(why, it's dark

now

where has the sun gone?)

But did it ever exist

in the first place...

like the silence

Poem 2

Your Truth

You told me that you love her.

You said it with all your heart.

You can't know why I want to cry

Cause that statement's a poison dart.

You said I'd always be your friend,

You said you'd always care.

I think, though, how, what could be now --

A feeling more than air...

And what's it about you to make me feel this way

When I know you love her so

And how long will it last, a month, a year, a day

Till you turn around to face my way?

She told you that she loved you

And now I know it's true.

I'm wasting my life in sighs and strife

Thinking nothing but of you.

Drop It

Don't know what you're doing

Don't know what you think

Why won't you let me go away,

Just drop it?

Don't try to make me snared,

Don't try to make me sink.

Can I keep up any longer?

I don't know...

And how'd you make me think of you?

And how'd you make me care?

I want to stay my own free way,

Drifting lazily through the air...

Stop cutting off my freedom,

Stop making the days feel pink.

I've got these last few months of my own,

So will you leave here?

Stop it what you're doing,

Stop it what you think.

Why can't I let you go away,

And drop it?

Okay, so on this blog I actually have stuff to write. I've been writing poems recently to express things, and having shared them with a few people, I've been motivated to show them to more. So following will be some poems -- I write maybe one every one or two weeks, and have ten already. However a few of these are dedicated to people and so I will either not post them completely or simply not say that they're dedicated. Most are about love, friendship, or feeling lost.
